Have you ever wondered what happens in Madlurta and what they like to do at school? Well, we went to find out. Although we may think that the learning that happens in the senior building is very different to what happens in Madlurta, which is true, but some things are rather similar.

Some of the things that are similar are what we like to do at break. When asked what they like to at break Finn C and Kian N enthusiastically said that they like playing soccer at lunch time, which was quickly followed by Layla P saying, "I don't like playing soccer at lunch time." Instead, Layla enjoys "climbing trees."  Just like the learners in Karra, Madlurta learners enjoy doing different things during break time.

In Karra, learners sometimes do really hard work. This means that school can be hard; and we don’t always love it. However, Madlurta learners love school. They all showed us with their hands and smiles on their faces how much they loved school. Sonny C said he loves school "everyday" and that it's a "100". But of course, it’s the things that they do that make it enjoyable and exciting. Oogie. F and Quinn. P both like "bookmaking" while Kian .M likes to do "Painting" and Sonny C likes to "read books". Although they all love to do different things they share their common love of school.

Finally, we interviewed the Educators in Madlurta about their experiences in the college. They like working here because there are common beliefs and values that are shared between them and other educators. They also liked "the vibe" of the school. All of the educators have previous experience working at different schools before teaching here. Katrina had even taught at Modbury kindergarten for 24 years before coming here!

We loved visiting Madlurta and can't wait to learn more about their learning.

We asked Madlurta learner Yilah how much she likes school, and she showed us and said "25/100".
