The Ngutu Art Show is an amazing, unique, and a very much anticipated event that comes once a year. It provides Ngutu's young people with the experience of showing their artwork to others in a professional exhibition style show.

Artists came to the dance room in the days leading up to the art show to help curate the exhibition as it was a bit fiddly to set up and Penny couldn't have done it all on her own. Penny said that a lot of kids, who had done the art show last year had helped others to hang the artworks on the small metal poles that hung from the ceiling and finding the labels that matched each artwork.

After the art show finished, we spoke to Art teacher Penny about it and what she thought. She told us that the art show never comes without its challenges e.g. many young people waited until the last minute to let Penny know that they wanted their works displayed and because of this Penny had to order more frames.

Penny said that the art show this year was different because there were five hundred artworks including the new additions of welding and photography. In the end the show went on without a hitch.  By Mackenzie Conroy and J.W
