'The Nightmare Before Christmas' is a 1993 stop-motion musical film directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton. The film follows Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, who scares people in the real world. He has become bored and discover Christmas town and decides to kidnap Santa and to plan the holiday himself. What follows is a disaster after he gives out terrifying gifts and gets shot down by cannons and the rest you have to watch for yourself.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is full of charming and whimsical scenes. For example, when Jack enters Christmas Town, he feels a rush of joy and wants to play in the snow. The joyful music starts to play, and he sings "what is this?" as he is mesmerised by the bright lights. This is a wonderful scene because it's funny and makes people feel happy.

In contrast, the scene where Oogie Boogie tortures Santa is more dark. The song is spooky, with many bats, skeletons, and Oogie Boogie's body is made of insects. He sings "it's much more fun I must confess when lives are on the line." Giving the audience as sense of fear for Santa. What I like about the scene is the happy look on Oogie Boogie's face.

Overall, I give this film a 6/10.
